Introducing The White Web Public Domain

Today, we're excited to announce the launch of The White Web Public Domain, a groundbreaking initiative that aims to create an open, decentralized space where anyone can collaborate, innovate, and build with trust at the core.

What is The White Web Public Domain?

The White Web Public Domain is an open, decentralized space governed by the Etheos DAO. It serves as the community-driven counterpart to The White Web's federative commercial side, offering tools, verified data, and funding for ethical projects. Powered by AO for scalable computation and Arweave for permanent storage, it's a hub for creators and developers to shape a trust-centric digital world.

At its core, the Public Domain is built on the principles of:

  • Open Access: Freely available resources for all, driving inclusivity.
  • Community Governance: Decisions made by the community via Etheos DAO.
  • Ethical Innovation: Support for projects aligned with trust and transparency.
  • TRU3 Protocol: Enabling secure, trust-based interactions without static identities.

Key Components

The Public Domain consists of several key components:

  • The White Pages: A tamper-proof registry of verified data.
  • TheWhitePapers.xyz: A curated showcase for Web3 projects.
  • MECENE: A transparent funding platform for creators.
  • TRU3 Protocol: Powers trust-based interactions with privacy-preserving verification.

Governance by Etheos DAO

The Etheos DAO steers the Public Domain, ensuring it remains decentralized and aligned with community values. Using THEOS tokens, members vote on proposals and fund initiatives, including the ongoing development of the TRU3 Protocol.

The DAO employs several mechanisms to ensure fair and effective governance:

  • Quadratic Voting: Balances influence across token holders.
  • Proposal System: Anyone with THEOS can propose ecosystem upgrades.
  • Ethical Impact Fund: 5% of THEOS supports values-driven projects.
